FOR TRIFFID PARK

Payment Order Form:
ALL PRICES ARE LISTED IN AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS.

Convert Australian dollars into your countries currency.

If you send us an email or order, please allow us about one week to answer you before you resend it.  Donna has to answer all the emails and pick out and pack all the orders, so she cannot answer all the emails immediately she receives them.  Thank-you.

PLANTS

All plants are sent loose rooted. We take all plants from their pots and shake off the excess peat moss that they are growing in.  All overseas orders must have the roots washed clean of peat moss in water.  For Australian orders we then wrap the roots in moist sphagnum moss (except Sarracenias which will last 4 weeks bare rooted).  Overseas we use moist vermiculite or rock wool.  The plants are then wrapped in plastic bags to keep the roots moist, with their name tags tied to each bag.  All bags are then placed in a cardboard box and posted to you by Australia Post.

SUBSTITUTES:
Please list substitutes, or substitutes will be given at our discretion to fill orders.

REFUNDS:
All orders are hand picked with the best quality plants that we have available at the time of processing each order.
Due to Australia’s strict quarantine laws from state to state, and importing from overseas, we cannot accept back any plants once posted to you. You must accept our decision of quality of plants sent to you.
We can also not be held responsible for loss of plants due to postage delays.

SHIPMENT TIME:
AUSTRALIA - we post using Australia Post, so most parcels should be delivered within a few days of being posted.  Once we receive payment, we usually post orders off to our customers within the next few working days, depending on the day of the week that we receive the order.
OVERSEAS - if your country requires a phytosanitary certificate, we have to wait until we have four overseas orders to get an inspecting officer to come to our nursery.  Waiting time is approximately 1-3 weeks from ordering.
Once posted, you should receive the plants within approximately 5 working days (as long as they do not get stopped in customs).  We use Express Courier International to deliver your parcels.

Sarracenia rubra ssp. jonesii
Nepenthes rajah
Nepenthes khasiana

EPBC
Drosera shizandra
Drosera prolifera

PHYTOSANITARY CERTIFICATE:
All countries require this compulsory government certificate to accompany the order of plants declaring that the plants were inspected by an Australian quarantine officer and found free of pests and diseases.  We organise a quarantine officer to come to our nursery and inspect your order of plants, and sign the phytosanitary certificate.
We can not and will not send parcels without a phytosanitary certificate, as it is against the law.
Please visit our Phytosanitary certificate page to find out your countries requirements.

PHYTOSANITARY CERTIFICATE COST (includes CITES certificates): as of 30th June 2011, the Australian government took away a 40% rebate they were offering on phytosanitary costs, therefore costs have risen.  The government is still working on costs, so these could still rise or drop in the future.

MOST COUNTRIES - $Aus 160
EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES - $Aus 175
(covers cost of peat moss testing for PCN as required by EU governments).
U.S.A. - $Aus 190
(covers cost of EDN and Cites validation, and peat moss testing for PCN as required by US government).
TAIWAN and CHINA - $Aus 200
(covers cost of electronically lodged phytosanitary certificate EXDOC as required by Taiwan/Chinese governments).

We have to have four overseas orders before we can book a phytosanitary certificate inspection.   This way we can split the travel cost and hourly inspection time cost between the four customers and keep the price down for you as much as possible.  Therefore we have to hold orders, until we accumulate four orders.  You should usually get your order within about 1 month of ordering.
We cannot process any more than 4 orders at a time to make it any cheaper, because all plants need to be loose rooted and washed for the inspecting officer to see, and then we need to pack them on the same day so that they will not dry out.  So we do not have time to do any more than 4 orders in a day.
If you want your order immediately, and do not want to wait until we have accumulated four orders, the cost will be much higher, as you will need to pay all travel costs and inspection time.

Phytosanitary Certificate

IMPORT PERMIT: You may also need an import permit.  To find out if you need an import permit, visit our Phytosanitary certificate page.  If so, you will need to organise the import permit in your country from your customs or quarantine department and email, post or fax it to us to be included with your order.
If your country requires an import permit, Triffid Park will not send plants without one accompanying the parcel.
The web site to obtain import permits for customers in America is: www.aphis.usda.gov/ppq/permits/plantproducts/postentry.html

CUSTOMS CHARGES: Some countries charge an import duty and customs charges.  Please enquire with your customs department about this, because these charges have nothing to do with Triffid Park and our postage charges.

INVOICE: An invoice is NOT included in your shipment unless you specifically ask for one.  Some countries do and some countries do not require one for the parcel to pass through customs.
Please let me know if you require one.
We do include your order form and credit card receipt with your shipment.

EXPRESS COURIER INTERNATIONAL: All plants and Tissue Cultured Flasks/Tubes are posted by Express Courier International using Australia Post.  You can trace your parcel by visiting the EMS web site and filling in the air bill number that I give you.

INSURANCE: -
PLANTS - Optional but recommended
.
BOOKS - Compulsory
We recommend that you insure your parcel for loss. This does not cover the state of the plants or books inside the parcel, it is only if the postal company loses the actual parcel. The postal company cannot be held responsible for a delay in delivery if the parcel gets held up in customs.
Insurance costs $Aus 9.60 for the first $100 worth of goods, or part there of.  Plus $2.50 for every additional $100 worth of goods, or part there of.
Include the cost of the phytosanitary certificate in your goods cost, to cover its replacement as well.
Triffid Park will not be held responsible for uninsured parcels.

SHARE AN ORDER:
You might like to think about importing with a friend, or contact your local carnivorous plant society to see if someone will share the cost of importing with you.  Visit our Carnivorous Plant Society page to find the society in your country.

DISCOUNTS:
The prices listed on our web site (and in our catalogue) are for one plant or 1000 plants (unless otherwise stated).
These are the prices that we must sell the plants for to cover our costs, when taking into consideration water, fertiliser, pots, peat moss, electricity, gas, land rates, staff wages etc. etc..
We do not give further discounts to anyone - these are the prices that all our customers worldwide pay.
Please Do Not ask for a discount as refusal often offends.

Thank you.
